Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Rose Perfume For Women Review (2015 fragrance):


Hot on the heels of the 2008 iconic scent Viva La Juicy revered by young ladies all across the globe even today , comes another reincarnation from the house of Juice Couture, the Viva La Juicy Rose. Juicy Couture is known for their overtly sweet perfumes which are generally targeted at the high school brigade but although the Juicy Rose still has fruity-floral tones to it, albeit with a rich & sophisticated rose note.

Perfect for the cheerful springtime, this effervescent fragrance opens up with a melodious blend of champagne, William pear, and sweet Italian mandarin notes that will definitely leave you with a smile on your face. As it settles down, you’ll find yourself immersed with the honeyed rose which is finely accentuated with white peony and Jasmine. In its dry down, it mellows into a decadent ambroxan, elements of Orris and there is a soft creamy combination of warm Balsam and amber to culminate into a truly playful and sensual experience.

My Experience With This Perfume:


I wasn't a big fan of the previous Viva la Juicy partly because it wasn't something you could wear every day owing to its over-the-top juiciness. There are bits and pieces of the original formulation in this rendition as well but this one is definitely more elegant and lady-esque and can also probably be someone's signature scent. The rose and generous dollops of sparkling fruits lend an uplifting aura to it and its not overbearing like the previous one. In addition, the fragrance works best for people who aren’t very comfortable with caramel notes.




Packaging: Known for their over the top and outrageous bottle designs, the Viva La Juicy Rose doesn’t disappoint with its glorious gorgeous bottle covered in pink and gold ombre sparkles. The stopper has cute little champagne charm decorated with three tiny pink stones which look so overdone but yet so girlish. The Cap with a faux-rose diamond has a large-ribboned bow pinned to it and you can’t help but keep staring at it glittery goodness. This is one bottled designed to remain etched in your memories for a long, long time.

Sillage and Longevity: I get a fairly moderate sillage which is perfect for school, work, or just about any kind of setting.The longevity is truly disappointing as the scent lingers for 3-4 odd hours before dissipating entirely. The only way I can confirm I had sprayed this one is by putting my nose to my wrist which is quite a shame really for such an expensive perfume.

  • Terrible longevity. Doesn’t hold at all.

Conclusion:

Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Rose Eau de Parfum is a unique fragrance with an even more unique bottle which does do justice to Viva La Juicy loyal perfumistas. However, this one is far more lighthearted with its rose tones and very sensual and it’s a shame that it doesn’t last long at all.
