Orange Bitters Jo Malone Perfume For Women And Men (2016 Fragrance) Review:
Jo Malone has carved a niche for itself by their brilliant and tasteful pairing of perfume ingredients. Orange bitters lives up to that legacy by striking a gorgeous blend of mandarin and bitter orange which is warm and fresh, yet neither overtly feminine nor masculine. Orange bitters is another masterpiece by Jo Malone and it manages to strike a delightful balance between a subtly scented orange juice and cloves which gives out a mysterious yet oh-so- satisfying vibe designed to captivate your senses.
Orange Bitters Perfume Scent Descriptions and Notes:

My Experience With This Jo Malone Perfume - Orange Bitters:
Now I consider myself a sucker for citrus scents and have had the good fortune to savor quite a few of them over the years. That being said, Orange Bitters does manage to differentiate itself from regular citrus scents and starts off with a bitter, yet distinctly zesty orange note. It soon transitions into the smooth and creamy woodsy balsamic undertones of sandalwood warmed up with an amber dry down. The hint of prune is refreshing and oddly festive and adds a little spice and depth to the concoction to avoid it from being overtly orange.
The dry down is pretty disappointing though and it doesn’t seem to linger for more than 3-4 hours. It’s an ideal ‘holiday’ scent because of the ‘holiday cheer’ it seems to exude and nice for those nippy winter night outs on Madison avenue. It is spicy and sweet, and warm and the addition of sandalwood and amber helps brighten up those cold winter mornings and bring about a sense of warmth which you associate with the season of joy.
Packaging: The Harlequin designed bottle and its classic black and white chequered geometric pattern reeks of suave sophistication and its packaging is cleverly unisex. The sillage is a bit of a letdown though and takes more than couple of sprays to make it prominent. Longevity is also an issue after 2-3 hours; it is joyful and bright while it lasts but soon afterward you can barely smell it all let alone catch a whiff. The fruity notes dissipate much too quickly for my liking.
Let me quickly summarize the likes and dislikes for this perfume.
Likes:
- Classy Packaging designed to excite one and all.
- Versatility: All purpose perfume can be worn by both sexes.
Dislikes:
- Too pricey
- Not very long lasting. Doesn’t linger around at all.
Overall Rating: 3/5
Availability: You can purchase Jo Malone Orange Bitters perfume online at Nordstrom Sephora , Amazon and Amazon.in
Conclusion
To summarize, Orange bitters is a unique proposition and smells like a burst of oranges but its inflated price tag doesn’t justify its cost. If you’re into citrus scents and a fan of Jo Malone offerings, you can indulge in this offering but if an overdose of citrus is not to your liking, you can surely afford to give it a miss.
