Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb For Men Perfume Review

Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb For Men Perfume Review (2012 Fragrance) :

Fast on the heels of the runaway success, Flowerbomb which was launched in 2005 and targeted specifically at women, Victor & Rolf have unleashed the Spicebomb, a new masculine perfume which is essentially a grenade of sheer goodness. Deep and intriguing, you’re greeted with a blast of cinnamon and pepper are masterly interwoven so as to not come across as too offensive, Spicebomb is pure, sexiness enclosed in a bottle. Its complex-sweet spice divinity has made women swoon all over this perfume which is interesting given that this delightful connotation manages to meticulously balance the masculine notes with the loud floral notes of the Flowerbomb, thus making for a perfect unisex blend.

With a subtle hint of Elemi in the background, it eventually sobers down after the initial spicy explosions into a sweet tobacco laced leathery smell which is universally appealing and easily garners second glances and compliments wherever you strut around. There is a definite bubblegum vibe at the top, akin to an explosion in a candy-floss factory, which persists for some time, before gradually settling into a suave dry down with musk and gourmand vanilla undertones.

Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb Perfume Scent Descriptions:

Top Notes - Bergamot, Grapefruit, and Pink pepper

Heart Notes –Elemi, Pepper, and Saffron

Base Notes – Vetiver, Leather, and Tobacco

My Experience With Spicebomb Perfume from Viktor & Rolf:

When you go out wearing the SpiceBomb, be ready to be swamped with questions and showered with compliments because it strikes the right inquisitive chords with its enchanting and powerful fragrance. This smells like a dream, and I can easily smell this from a foot away from where I initially sprayed it and it simply wafts and lingers wherever I go catching many admiring glances. It’s not cloying at all and after the initial explosive fruitiness and milky cinnamon has settled down, I did get pulled in by the soft runaway chili and saffron which gradually grows on you before finishing off with exquisite airy peppery and leather tones. Wow, take a bow Oliver Polge because you have masterfully constructed another timeless classic.

The sexy bit of this perfume is that unlike other conventional perfumes, you don’t spray this on; oh no, you go all badass on it by pulling the plastic pin and getting doused by the resultant explosion of sophisticated and spicy goodness. Stop the nonsensical comparisons to 1 million; SpiceBomb is truly in a league of its own. Additionally, the SpiceBomb is extremely versatile and can be worn to work or to a late night party with equal panache.

Packaging: Coming to the presentation and packaging, it's unique with nice Titanium wrapped the grenade-like bottle with the pin holding the nozzle from getting sprayed accidentally. It's also adorned with a nice black Victor & Rolf charm which dangles and adds to the "charm". The sillage is spot on with enough potency to project across the room. Longevity is a bit of a gray area because it ranges between 6-8 odd hours at present.

Below is a list of likes and dislikes that I've felt about this fragrance:

Likes:

- Great scent and draws compliments from one and all

- Sensual and sophisticated

- Innovative bottle design

Dislikes:

- Doesn’t hold for too long

- Very Expensive

Rating- 3.5/5

Availability: You can purchase Spicebomb perfume online at Perfume.com, Amazon.com and Amazon.in

Overall :

As a perfume aficionado, it’s safe to say, the Spicebomb from Viktor & Rolf is THE bomb you have all been waiting for, and as it says on the bottle, it's spicy and goes off like a bomb.
